What is a CSA:
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. It is a partnership between farms and their local community where both parties share the benefits and support of sustainable, local agriculture. The farmer and the “shareholders” or “members” become partners in the production, distribution and consumption of locally grown food. The real benefits on both sides are realized over many seasons, as shareholders engage with the farmers and the land. This is achieved by increasing our community’s collective understanding of the importance of local, regenerative agriculture. Our goal is to promote public health and nutrition, share knowledge and collectively help nurture our soils for future generations.
How does it work?
CSA farm members buy weekly “shares” of produce during our growing season and receive a bin of our fresh farmstead to fork harvest. Our farm shares are “farmers choice” which means that we hand harvest the best vegetables that are in the peak of freshness and every member receives the same box.
